Beautiful Lengths

So every year or so I do something a little extreme...

And last Monday was this year's day.  If I'd thought a bit more, I'd probably have waited another month or two.  More or less I donate 9 inches of hair to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths program. Basically you mail off hair to be used in free wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment. I pretty much considered doing this in high school, back when I had hair clear down my back to my waist and decided I'd do it "some day."  Well after I had the Princess and had enjoyed really long hair for a really long time, I decided someday was right then, and here I am three donations later.  I'll admit, I've yet to cut it this much and not have a bit of a shocked reaction from the shear difference in the two lengths.  What I find most funny is that after doing this pretty consistently over four years, people are still shocked that I've cut my hair each time. 

 

Oh, and this is easily the shortest my hair has ever been...including the bob I had in 4th grade.  Yeah.
